SAFETY

Being out on the water might be one of the best feelings in the world.  In order to continue having a great time out on the water certain safety procedures and precautions need to be followed in order to keep you and everyone else safe.  Always respect your equipment and others.

• Following local, state, and federal laws.

• Know the waterways in which you are navigating.

• Correct and proper use of equipment.

• The driver, spotter, and rider should all agree on hand signals.

• Never start until the rider is ready.

• Always be aware, use caution and common sense.

• Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard Type III (PFD) vest.

• Always check equipment before each use. Check board, fins, handle, rope, and vest. DO NOT USE if anything is damaged.

• Tow ropes stretch while using. If rope breaks or slips from rider it can slingshot back toward the riders in the boat which could result in injure or death.

• Inspect rope before using, DO NOT USE if frayed, knotted, or damaged.

• Make sure rope is NOT wrapped around anything and is free from all body parts before starting.

• Keep persons and rope away from propeller when engine is running. Propeller can cause major injuries which could lead to death. Always keep persons away from propeller even when engine is in neutral. If rope gets caught up in propeller, Turn OFF ENGINE and remove ignition key before retrieving rope.

• Do NOT use oils / soap to put bindings on.

• Do NOT wax boards. (Wakesurf with no eva foam pad, “surf wax” could be used for grip.)

• Handle board with care. Negligible care could result in damage.

• If riding in ocean rinse board with fresh water after use.

• Inspect board every time before use, make sure there is no damage.

• Check fins every time before riding to make sure they are tightly secured.

• Check to make sure bindings are tightly secured and have no damage before riding.

• Do NOT use sealant such as LOCTITE on binding or fin screws as it could cause structural failure.

• Gas and oils are bad for boards so make sure products do not come into contact with these chemicals.
